Mrs. Rabbit had four little bunnies (thỏ con).

Their names were Mopsy, Flopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter.

They lived in a hole (cái lỗ) under a tree.

One day Mrs. Rabbit said, "We need bread.

I'll go into town (thị trấn) to buy some."

She grabbed (cầm lấy) her basket (cái rổ) and an umbrella.

Mrs. Rabbit looked at her bunnies.

"I will be back soon (về sớm)," she said.

"Can we go outside?" asked Peter.

"Yes," said his mother.

"But don't go into the farmer's garden.

Your father went there.

And he never (không bao giờ) came home."

"Okay, Mother," said the bunnies.

Mrs. Rabbit headed off to (đi về phía) town.

The bunnies put on (mặc vào) their jackets and shoes.

Then (sau đó) they went outside.

The four bunnies hopped (nhảy) down the path (con đường mòn).

"Look over there! (Nhìn về phía kia)" said Mopsy.

"I see a blackberry bush (Bụi cây dâu đen)!"

"Yum!" said Flopsy and Cotton-tail.

Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail ran to the bush (bụi cây).

Peter's sisters started to pick (hái) blackberries.

"I don’t want blackberries," Peter thought (nghĩ).

"I'm going to the farmer's garden!"
